The style of the car

The Grand C4 SpaceTourer is a stylish MPV that packs a lot of space into a relatively compact car. Wide-opening four doors make it easy to get in and out, while the large windows make things bright and airy. Previously known as the Grand C4 Picasso, this distinctive Citroen stands out on the road.

How it drives

Soft suspension and low noise levels mean the Grand C4 SpaceTourer is comfortable and quiet, particularly on longer trips. Light steering, excellent visibility and standard parking sensors make it easy to drive and the optional automatic gearbox is perfect for city motoring. The Citroen’s efficient and responsive engines cope well even when the car is fully loaded. There’s no four-wheel drive version but the Grand C4 SpaceTourer is a great tow car, especially those with the powerful diesels.

The interior

The seven seat Grand C4 SpaceTourer is extremely spacious and, with seats that slide and recline, back seat passengers get lots of room. The third row seats are perfect for kids, but even adults will be comfortable on short journeys. There’s lots of family friendly storage, including a huge glovebox and hidden compartments under the floor. With a capacity of 632 litres, the boot is bigger than many estate cars and there’s enough room for three large suitcases and even a pushchair.

All Grand C4 SpaceTourers are well-equipped, with entry-level Touch Edition getting Bluetooth, touchscreen infotainment and climate control air con. Feel spec adds massage front seats, while Flair trim features half leather trim and a reversing camera.

Running costs and reliability

Attractive pricing means the well-equipped SpaceTourer often costs less to buy than rivals. All engines are efficient, but the diesels are particularly cost-effective for high mileage drivers. They produce low CO2 emissions too, with road tax on them costing as little as £30, while servicing and insurance costs are competitive. Reliability is excellent and the Citroen was named Best MPV in the Auto Express Driver Power Awards. Citroen Grand C4 SpaceTourer vs. rivals

The Grand C4 SpaceTourer is the seven seat version of Citroen’s mid-sized five seat C4 SpaceTourer and is bigger than the Citroen C3 Picasso. It’s more comfortable and spacious than rivals such as the Ford Grand C-Max and Renault Grand Scenic. The Citroen has won many awards, including Car Buyer’s Best Seven Seat Car.
