    What are my insurance options?

    Drover Insurance

    Our insurance is the easiest way to insure your car. It's included by default with all Drover vehicle subscriptions. The period in which you are covered is linked exactly with your subscription. Your cover starts from 00:00am on the morning you pick up the vehicle, up until 11.59pm, the day your subscription ends. Learn more

    Arrange your own insurance

    We also offer the option to provide your own insurance for your Drover subscription. We call these Drover Self Insure Subscriptions and they're just like our standard all-inclusive product, minus the comprehensive insurance. This means you can use your preferred insurer and may save you money. It may take a little longer to confirm your booking as there are a few extra steps to follow. Learn more

    Comprehensive insurance is provided by Great Lakes Insurance SE, a German insurance company with its headquarters at Königinstraße 107, 80802 Munich. Registered with the commercial register of the local court of Munich under number: HRB 230378 UK Branch office: Plantation Place, 30 Fenchurch Street, London, EC3M 3AJ. Great Lakes Insurance SE UK Branch is authorized by the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht and subject to limited regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority. It covers named person to drive in the U.K. Displayed Price is inclusive of IPT.

    What if I want to cancel early?

    Our cancellation policy depends on the type of subscription you have.

    Monthly Rolling Subscriptions

    Just tell us in writing to subscriptions@joindrover.com that you’d like to cancel at least 7 days before your renewal date. If you miss this deadline, you may have to pay for the following month too.

    Longer Fixed-term Subscriptions

    You have a 72 hour cooling-off period when your subscription starts, in which if you cancel you’ll only have to keep your car for the first month. Collection costs may apply.

    After the 72-hour period, you will need to pay a cancellation fee of 20% of your outstanding subscription payments. There is a minimum fee which is the equivalent of one month's subscription payment.

    What happens after I request my subscription?

    All you have to do now is sit back and relax. Once you submit your chosen subscription on the website, we do a series of quick checks to make sure everything is in order and that your car is definitely available from our supplier.

    We carry out secure checks on your identity documents, driving history, and a soft credit search (which doesn’t affect your credit rating).We’ll keep you updated every step of the way. Once everything has been arranged, your subscription will be confirmed, and only then will your first payment will be taken.

    If you don’t pass these checks, we won’t be able to confirm your subscription.
