Seat builds a range of cars that combine a sporty look and feel with comparatively low ownership costs. The Spanish company is best known for the Ibiza and Leon hatchbacks, but the Arona and Ateca are two of the most popular SUVs on the market.

Used Seat cars offer sensible running costs, thanks to fuel-efficient petrol and diesel engines, and share many parts with other cars produced by the Volkswagen Group, which owns Audi, Seat and Skoda, as well as Volkswagen itself.

Which used Seat cars are for sale?

You’ll find a range of used Seat cars for sale, including hatchbacks, estates, SUVs and MPVs. The smallest is the Mii, which is a (very) compact hatchback available with three or five doors. It’s worth checking out the Mii Electric, which offers an official 161 miles of pure-electric range.

The Ibiza hatchback is one of Seat’s most popular cars. It’s fun to drive, offers good value for money and is available with a choice of fuel-efficient engines. Next up is the larger Leon, a mid-size car available as a five-door hatchback or as an even more practical estate.

The range of Seat SUVs stretches from the compact Arona to the mid-size Ateca and all the way up to the seven-seat Tarraco, which was introduced in 2018 and effectively replaced the Alhambra MPV.

Are there any hybrid or electric Seat models?

The Mii Electric is the only used Seat available in pure-electric form. It offers a range of up to 116 miles when fully charged, according to official figures.

For a plug-in hybrid check out the Leon e-Hybrid, which can give 235mpg and has a zero-emissions range of up to 40 miles, according to official figures. The Leon is also available as a full hybrid, badged e-TSI.

Seat Ibiza

The Seat Ibiza is a stylish small hatchback available with a choice of three or five doors. There’s a range of models to choose from, including different engines and gearboxes and a wide mix of trim levels. Some versions are especially affordable to insure, making them a great option for young drivers.

Seat Leon 

The Seat Leon is a mid-size family car that’s available as a five-door hatchback or as an estate (previously known as the Leon ST). You have  many models to choose from, including the choice of full hybrid or plug-in hybrid power.

Seat Arona 

The Seat Arona is one of the best used compact SUVs you can buy, especially since an update in 2021. As well as being enjoyable to drive, the Arona gives you lots of interior space and lots of equipment is included as standard.

Seat Ateca 

The Seat Ateca is a mid-size family SUV that combines practicality and style with a sporty edge. Most have front-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive versions are available, along with a choice of petrol or diesel engines. Many models have desirable features such as LED headlights and support for Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

Seat Tarraco

The Seat Tarraco is a large seven-seat SUV with lots of space for five people and a big boot. The pair of third-row seats that are perfect for when you need to carry an extra couple of children or take the grandparents along on a day trip.

The Seat SUV models are the Arona, Ateca and Tarraco.

The Arona is a compact SUV based on the Ibiza hatchback that’s a rival for cars such as the Ford Puma, Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008. Moving up a size, the Ateca is ideal for growing families, thanks to three large seats in the back and a big boot. Rivals include the Nissan Qashqai, Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson.

The largest Seat SUV is the Tarraco, which is significantly more spacious than the Ateca, with the bonus of a pair of third-row seats. Rivals include the Skoda Kodiaq, Kia Sorento and Peugeot 5008.
