How insurance works with Drover?
Comprehensive insurance is included with all Drover vehicle subscriptions.
The period in which you are covered is linked exactly with your subscription. Your cover starts from 00:00am on the morning you pick up the vehicle, up until 11.59pm, the day your subscription ends.
Accident excesses range from £750 to £1500, depending on your age, and the vehicle that you are renting out. Windscreen excess is £100.
All accidents must be reported within 24 hours, by calling 01204 600 280 with your policy number and the vehicle registration.

What if I want to cancel?
Our cancellation policy depends on the type of subscription you have.
Just tell us by email that you'd like to cancel at least 7 days before your renewal date. If you miss this deadline, you may have to pay for the following month too.
You have a 72 hour cooling-off period when your subscription starts, which if you cancel you only have keep your car for the first month.
After this, you will have to pay a cancellation fee which is 20% of the remaining payments on your subscription, with a minimum charge of one full month.

How does the approval process work?
We carry out an identity check, a check on your driving history, and a soft credit search - none of which will affect your credit score. In some cases we may request additional documentation such as proof of address or identity. None of this information will be shared with any third parties.
Sometimes we’ll also need to complete an affordability check. In all cases, this information will be requested by us through our partner Credit Kudos.
To take out a Drover subscription you will need to pass the approval process successfully. If you don’t pass, we won’t be able to move forward with your subscription.
